Hoa Binh Hotels
Hoa Binh is situated right in the lap of the mountains and has very strong cultural roots. Hoa Binh is a cauldron of cultures created by the six minorities living in the city. Each of the six minorities has their own languages, literature, and even festivals. Some of the minorities include the Thai, Muong, Kinh, Tay, H'Mong, Dao, and Hoa. The climate is mostly humid and the rainy season brings in flash floods while violent storms are normal in this region. One of the special things about Hoa Binh that attracts tourists is the local food prepared by one of the minorities. This special dish consists of grilled meat and rice that is cooked in Bamboo. A special holiday will include this special cuisine plus the traditional music and ance.
A visit to the Mai Chau district is a perfect way to start the Hoa Binh holiday. It is situated 60 km from Hoa Binh and you will have to cross a steep pass called Doc Koon on the way. The top of the pass has become a point for from where you can watch the surrounding landscape and down the valley. The entire scenery is quite breathtaking with the green paddy fields and the houses on stilts standing out. The Kim Boi hot spring is a popular place and is just 30 km from Hoa Binh. There is a house right next to the spring and its name is Kim Boi. That is how the mineral water spring got its name. The water here is used to treat high blood pressure, stomach aches and any intestinal problems or diseases and even rheumatism. If you have none of the above, you can still enjoy one of the refreshing baths here.
