Hai Phong Hotels
Hai Phong is one of the most populous city in Vietnam and is situated on the Red River Delta. It is around 100 km from Hanoi and is a seaport of strategic importance. Some of the places of interest for tourists in Hai Phong include the traditional trade villages, Cat Ba, Do Son Resort, Elephant Mountain, Trang Kenh - Bach Dang, People's Theatre Lake, Catholic Cathedral, and a Children’s amusement park.
The most famous place is Cat Ba or the pearl island. The island of Cat Ba is situated near the Halong Bay and more than half of its area is considered to be a part of the National park. Here you can find the rare and exotic Cat Ba Langur, the golden headed langur and hundreds of other species of wildlife. This National park includes both land and marine life and arranges three day hiking tours or canoeing trips for those looking for some adventure. There is a Monkey island here but tourists need to go there with proper guides as the monkeys are not too friendly.
Another great tourist spot in Hain Phong is the Do Son Resort, which is situated 22km from the town. Do Son is famous for its deep rooted cultural heritage and historical buildings. It also hosted the famous 2007 Haiphong tourist festival where the slogan was Do Son – Call of the Sea. The festival included an International sculpture camp, Buffalo competitions, and beach volleyball competitions, fishing festival, boat racing and water skiing.
